Who We Are & What We Do

The Way Out Prison Ministry (TWO) is a non‐denominational Christian ministry serving various types of correctional facilities in Northeast Ohio and is committed to proclaiming Christ by providing for the spiritual growth of men, women and youth in partnership with local churches at no cost to the community.

We Put The Church In Jail

By partnering with local churches, we provide opportunities for ministry to those called by God to minister to in-mates so that Christ will be exalted, relationships will be grown and redeemed souls would attend church.

Why The Way Out Prison Ministry

Research shows that 75% of released in-mates will be re-arrested within 5 years. But the rate of re-arrest is less for those who were active participants in Christian programs. This rate is further reduced when there is participation in the local church. Our chaplains and volunteers minister weekly to hundreds of inmates. That translates into thousands of lives touched by the Gospel in a year.

The Christ Of Every Crisis

Since 1980, The Way Out (TWO) has proclaimed the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our trained chaplains and volunteers share the hope of Jesus in jails, juvenile detention centers, drug recovery centers, re-entry facilities, half- way houses and prisons. People are in a crisis and we want to show them the Christ of every crisis. They believe that their lives are destroyed and forever marked by their crime. They have no peace, no joy, no hope, and they are looking for a way out.

Your Opportunity

TWO provides to the individual an opportunity for ministry. We are your entry point into the facilities, and a platform for ministry. The administration of the facilities invites TWO, not the individual. The long-standing reputation of TWO in the corrections community is recognized as one of quality and integrity.

Financial Partnership

TWO is a faith work and funded solely by donations from individuals, churches, and organizations. We receive no government funding. Summit Chaplain Services, Inc., (dba The Way Out Prison Ministry) is a tax-exempt organization under tax code section 501(c)(3). Your donations are tax- deductible.
