Donation Policies of The Way Out Prison Ministry
The Way Out Prison Ministry is the registered trade name of Summit Chaplain Services, Inc., which is a registered Ohio charity and a not-for-profit corporation according to Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). The tax identification number is 34-1343664. This means your gifts are tax-deductible. You may support a specific chaplain’s ministry, or you may specify a project or need, such as the annual Christmas Outreach, the Harry Watson Bible Fund, Headquarters expenses, etc. All donations are accepted with the understanding that gifts are administered and distributed under the supervision of the Board of Trustees of The Way Out Prison Ministry. Checks or credit card gifts made payable to an individual will not be accepted, but must be made payable to The Way Out Prison Ministry, TWO, TWOPM or Summit Chaplain Services. In accordance with the restrictions imposed by Federal tax laws, each gift that is designated to support a specific chaplain’s ministry is accepted with the understanding that if that chaplain’s status changes, such as due to retirement, the designated gift may be redirected to other chaplains or areas of the ministry in the discretion of the Board of Trustees. Also, all gifts designated to a specific project or need (other than major gifts accepted according to a written agreement) are accepted with the understanding that when that need has been met, gifts may be directed to where needed most at the time of the gift at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
